The Research School on Peace and Conflict offers the best possible research training for the next generation of peace and conflict scholars.

Based at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO), courses are taught by researchers from the three partner institutions (the University of Oslo, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and PRIO). Prominent academics from other institutions in Norway and abroad also lecture in Research School courses.

Courses examine both methodological and topical issues. The Research School is multidisciplinary. With students and professors from various disciplines (including the social sciences, law, history, and philosophy), the Research School is a vibrant intellectual community.

Members receive training in academic writing and publishing. They meet regularly in symposiums to present their work to peers and to discuss topics related to their development as academic professionals.

This initiative is funded by a National Research School grant from the Research Council of Norway.
